Delete your Islamify account
Here you can have your Islamify account and its associated data permanently deleted. You need neither the app nor an account login to do so.
Option 1: Request deletion by email
Write to datenschutzwerbung4420@islamify.invalid @islamify.ai. Please use the email address your account was created with — that is how we match the request to your account. The button above pre-fills the subject and message for you.
We confirm receipt and then delete the account. If you have to write from a different address, we will ask you to confirm first, so that nobody can have someone else's account deleted.
Option 2: Inside the app
If you still have the app installed, you can do it there directly:
- Open the Islamify app and sign in.
- Tap the menu icon with the three lines in the top left.
- Tap your name at the very bottom of the menu — that opens Account & settings.
- Choose Delete account and confirm with Delete permanently.
Deletion runs immediately and is permanent.
Running subscriptions
When you delete your account, we automatically cancel a running subscription with Stripe, PayPal or Google Play at the end of the paid period. After that, nothing more is charged; periods already paid are not refunded automatically.
- Please cancel subscriptions from Apple's App Store yourself in your iPhone's subscription settings, ideally before deleting your account.
- Anything that is not linked to your account, for example a regular donation made through our donation page, can be ended on our cancellation page — also without signing in.
If you are unsure where your subscription runs, just mention it in your deletion request and we will sort it out with you.
What gets deleted
Along with the account, all personal content belonging to it is removed:
- the user account in the chat, including name and email address
- all conversations and messages
- uploaded files
- saved memories, folders and tags
- feedback and ratings you gave on answers
Deactivating or suspending an account is not enough for us — the content is actually deleted.
Important: 180-day block for the email address
After deletion you cannot register again with the same email address for 180 days — on none of the available routes and regardless of which sign-in provider you use (Google, Microsoft, Apple, LinkedIn or any other).
The reason: so that the free trial cannot be used several times by repeatedly deleting and signing up again, we keep a protected fingerprint of the address — not the address itself. It is deleted automatically after 180 days; after that, registering again is possible. The details are in section 14.4 of the privacy policy.
What remains
Some information remains for a while after deletion, each with its own period:
- Audit log: 90 days. Security-relevant events such as account changes and account deletions.
- Accounting records: usually 8 years. Only if you had a paid subscription or bought Dirhem; the law requires us to keep them.
- Fingerprint of the address: 180 days. Not the address itself, but a hash value — see above.
- Access in our sign-in service and entry in our usage records: until you ask us to delete them. Both contain your email address and are not deleted automatically. Write to us at datenschutzwerbung6014@islamify.invalid @islamify.ai and we will remove them.
All other periods, for example for a cancellation via our form, for usage records and for messages to us, are listed in section 17 of the privacy policy.
How long it takes
In the app, your account is deleted immediately; with a request by email, after we have checked it. The data disappears from our backup copies after 30 days at the latest. Information with its own period remains until that period expires.
