Delete your Islamify account
Here you can have your Islamify account and its associated data permanently deleted. You need neither the app nor an account login to do so.
Option 1: Request deletion by email
Write to [email protected]. Please use the email address your account was created with — that is how we match the request to your account. The button above pre-fills the subject and message for you.
We confirm receipt and then delete the account. If you have to write from a different address, we will ask you to confirm first, so that nobody can have someone else's account deleted.
Option 2: Inside the app
If you still have the app installed, you can do it there directly:
- Open the Islamify app and sign in.
- Tap the menu icon with the three lines in the top left.
- Tap your name at the very bottom of the menu — that opens Account & settings.
- Choose Delete account and confirm with Delete permanently.
Deletion runs immediately and is permanent.
First: cancel any active subscription
Deleting your account does not end a running subscription. Please cancel it first so that no further charges occur:
- Subscriptions purchased through Google Play or the App Store must be cancelled in that store's subscription settings. They cannot be ended anywhere else.
- All other subscriptions and support contributions can be ended on our cancellation page — also without signing in.
If you are unsure where your subscription runs, just mention it in your deletion request and we will sort it out with you.
What gets deleted
Along with the account, all personal content belonging to it is removed:
- the user account itself, including name, email address and sign-in data
- all conversations and messages
- uploaded files
- saved memories, folders and tags
- feedback and ratings you gave on answers
Deactivating or suspending an account is not enough for us — the content is actually deleted.
What we are required to keep
Invoices and payment records for paid subscriptions are retained. German commercial and tax law requires this (§ 147 AO, § 257 HGB). They are no longer used to operate the service and are deleted once the retention period expires. The details are in our privacy policy.
How long it takes
After the account is deleted, all personal data is erased within 30 days, unless a statutory retention obligation applies. Backups are overwritten in the normal rotation cycle.
